Don't get me wrong I loved the book great story, what I didn't like was how Aurora kept putting herself down regarding her size it became a little monotonous and even Slavik mentioned it once, it was disappointing it sort of put me off I nearly didn't finish the book but I'm glad I did because the ending was perfect
Not a Bratva book. It's not even written for grown ups. This is simply a really bad teenage bully book, with its taken straight from high-school, bully plot of teenage cheerleaders picking on the fat, nerdy girl.
With many cringingly immature scenes, with the so called author having the heroine as a pathetic, immature and 'poor, woe me' type of woman actually thinking things like, 'nobody loves me, nobody ever liked me, not even when I was a child, even other innocent little children didn't like me'. It was eye roll bad drivel!
It is extremely repetitive, mostly it's just the heroine's immature 'woe poor me' rubbish on every single page, and her described as fat several times on every page. The writing is so bad, it's not only in need of an editor to correct the many mistakes with the grammar, punctuation and spelling etc, but even an editor could not actually improve the basic writting ability shown by the so called author.
I was attracted by the cover but it's the only decent thing about this book, and is completely wasted on this badly written, immature and embaressing pieve of drivel offered up as a Bratva story. Honestly I do not understand how these "churn em out pieces of complete rubbish' get a single reader to give it more than 1 star.
OMG another fantastic book and I’m very excited to looking forward to more in this series. I found it really hard to put this book down and loved all the characters especially Slavic and Aurora and the way their relationship changed. I really took a dislike to her family and some of the other women. This book sucks you in and you don’t want to put it down as you want to know what happens next.
Absolutely fantastic Sam! You have threw the ball out the park with this book. Loved it from start to finish. Slavik I loved him then I hated him then I loved him again. As for Aurora she was just the sweetest women ever!!! Well done Sam 👏
Okay, here goes. This story was good, really good. I enjoyed the whole premise. I did not enjoy the abuse of language in the writing. Let me explain: awkward sentences, wrong words, poor grammar. This book is screaming for a re edit. Whoever did the editing needs to find another job. It starts on the first two pages and got worse as the story progressed. At several points, I had to re read several times to figure out who was talking. So annoying. And it spoils the flow of the story.
On the plus side: I loved the whole premise of the story. It’s refreshing to read a forced mafia marriage where the female lead character doesn’t fall wildly in love with her a-hole husband as soon as he ‘you-know-what’s’ her. I mean honestly, I find most mafia bride stories laughable. So stupid and just plain silly. But this one resonated with me. I felt so sorry for Aurora. I could relate to the abuse she put up with for years. Events were rushed at the end, but aren’t they always in this genre, and I had figured out who the protagonist was about half way through. I would be wary about reading this author again unless the editing improves. I suspect English is not their first language and I’d recommend they employ an English speaking editor.
This book has some of my favorites hidden between the pages! A Bratva romance, an emotionally distant, over the top alpha male, and an innocent who is more than capable of navigating shark infested waters, but is a novice with issues of the heart. I enjoyed the gentle buildup of their relationship, and I adore what it seems Ivan, and the author, have in the works for all the men of the Bratva. I can’t wait to see what happens as each one of them fall for their own HEA. The author kept the story moving with action and danger, and a twist that I never saw coming. This book is a fantastic debut into the world of the Bratva.
