I gotta say I was boiling with anger for most of this book I know it's fiction but it didn't stop the anger at the way the heroine has been treated. It took a while for this to pick up and become interesting for the majority of the book it was the same her being pushed doing things she didn't want to but submitting at the end . I hated Dayne with passion I mean deep down I sort of knew he was provoking her so that she shifts but still
This story sucked me in within seconds. Which is amazing because I was in a book funk and thought i was broken before starting this. I loved the main characters. That cliffy had me anxious. I need to move straight onto the next book.
I really enjoyed this, I’ve been trying to find good KU titles that have a heroine with a background or power, but a lot of the one’s that I’ve found just don’t know how to say without making the heroine out to be conceited (or at least that’s how it feels). This still has a heroine who doesn’t know her own power, but it’s written in a way that is intriguing. I am looking forward to the next one and will be checking out more from this author soon!
Storyline is addictive but I actually can’t stand Dayne. The way he antagonises Talis and the way he humiliates her over and over again..... starting with the mating ceremony. I’ll read the second book because I have so many questions that need answered. Don’t think I’ll ever like Dayne though.
