It is a pleasure to shoot with this camera, but I recommend to get the Canon EOS M Mount Adapter and attach a regular EF-S lens like the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 is USM. Instead of using the kit lens that comes with this camera

Unlike many I found its smaller size not to my personal liking. Absolutely nothing wrong with its quality. Do to it being and m mount camera it also had very limited lenses built for it without using an adapter.

If youre wanting a small , light system with great picture quality, plenty of controls and some very high quality lenses that won't break the bank ---- Then the M50mkII is perfect. I'm not going to write a M50 mkii review because you can find miles of them on youtube for the M50. There isn't a whole lot different between the M50 and it's successor the M50 mkii that you can't read about on line. I'm just writing this to say It is unlikely anyone wou;d be disappointed.

Video looks great. Mic input is in a terrible spot in the path of the flipout screen. Said input worked for all of five minutes. Defective. I've been recording with a cheap Canon camcorder with no issues on the mic input - which is placed in a sensible spot.

Accessory kit for constant / AC power is useless because you can't mount on a tripod when you use it, as the battery door has to remain open. Once again... my cheap camcorder has an AC power connection, came with the AC adapter.

Tripod plate has to be removed to access battery *and* SD card. Have I told you about my cheap camcorder? Battery pops off the back and card inserts into the side, camera can remain on the tripod.

This is popular with vloggers, etc, as a video camera... I'm scratching my head why.

Maybe made for the complete beginner? Many manual tasks in use to on other dslrs are much more complicated than they need to be on this camera. Geared towards full automatic.
Broke after three weeks, just stopped turning on! Must return.
