This was a great read that was so relatable I absolutely loved it from the first page to the last Mary Sue Jackson is fast becoming a favourite author for me Her characters are always people you can fall in love with facing odds and drama that would test anyone but they always seem to win without compromising who they are.
Jolie Hill made fatal mistake and had a work relationship and now it has come back to bite her she just wants to retreat and lick her wounds and have nothing to do with men or relationships She finds a job as a cook/nanny on a remote ranch and thinks it would be perfect Soon she is caring fro Adam the ward of rancher Colson Westland. Soon they are all starting to live a life they enjoy Colson can't believe what a difference having Jolie around makes now he is starting to feel like his ranch is a home. But when Adam's grandparents try for custody of him even though they don't believe his medical issues are real Colson's lawyer suggests him been married would be in their favour Can he ask Jolie to be a pretend wife till he gets full custody and what happens when he start wanting pretend to be real. Will they all become a family and get a HEA you will have to read to see
I was given a copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
Jolie had not had much love in the romance department and had decided that it was time for a new start. Getting a job as a combined cook and nanny at a remote Texas ranch was a good beginning. She soon realized how much happier she felt living on the ranch and caring for the young boy who was her charge. She was determined to resist her attraction to Colson, her new boss, but when he surprised her by asking her to marry him for the boy's sake, she couldn't refuse. I found this book and an entertaining and rewarding story of love and family. Jolie had taken the young orphaned boy into her heart and was prepared to do all she could to give him a normal childhood, despite his serious medical issues. I rejoiced in the love that bloomed between Jolie and Colson, and the happy ending of this endearing love story.

I found this to be a great read. The characters really worked very well together and I had a wonderful connection with the as well. Some men just can handle this type of pressure at all. I felt for hi new wife and the cook for all the ranch staff. I didn`t find any spelling mistakes or any holes in the plot of this book.
I recommend this book for people over the age of 18+

As always another great story from Mary Sue Jackson. As usual her storytelling pulls you into the characters life and you don't want to put it down until you get to the end. I can't wait to read and review the next book. I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest and willing given review.
A nice story about Jolie and Colton. Jolie is healing after a bad breakup with a coworker. She needs a safe place to recover, so she takes a job as a chef at a remote ranch. Colton is guardian to a sweet little boy, Adam, and Jolie is hired to cook for them. Colson had lived through some very hard hits in the romance department. Now, he controls every aspect of his life. He also has a lot of people depending on him. When Adam's grandparents want to take him away and raise him themselves, Colson asks Jolie to marry him to win custody. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book from HiddenGems
I loved this book. Both main characters were easy to identify with and both were very likable. And Adam....sounds like such a sweetie. You really wanted these two to get together and it’s a very slow burn which I love. Only one sex scene so if you need a book with lots of sex, this may not be for you but it is such a great story, it more than makes up for it. My only flaw is that Jolie forgave Colson a bit too quickly and easily for me. I would have made him work for it. Lol. Great read and I’ve already bought two more books by this author.
This is the first book that I have read from this author and was not disappointed. I loved all the characters that were throughout this story but definitely loved the top 3 characters who were Colson Westland, owner of a huge ranch in a small town in Texas and who is also a guardian to a young boy named Adam. Adam is the son of Colson's best friend Tyler Peterson who was tragically killed in a car crash along with his wife. Then there is Jolie Hill, who is an accomplished chef from Houston that takes on the job as chef & childcare provider. I loved that the author touched on a subject that affects so many children lately and that is food allergies and how Jolie navigated cooking for Adam with this allergies as well as the rest of the ranch. The author also touched on the subject of people not believing in medicine and that trusting God will make sure that person is fine. This is in regards to Mr & Mrs Peterson's belief of this practice. My heart just melted when Colson made a proposition to Jolie to marry her in order to keep Adam in his care because Tyler's parents don't believe that a bachelor on a ranch is the correct person to be raising their grandson when they are his grandparents and should be the one raising Adam and not Colson even though that is what Tyler stated. Through this journey Colson and Jolie fall in love, which is typical, with these kind of arrangments and this book does not let you down. Definitely a keeper for your library.
Jolie has been hired to be the cook at a ranch. Folsom is the owner of the ranch. Two different attitudes are had to imagine. Jolie is free spirited and happy, Colson is by the book, no differing from the rules. Colson is the guardian of his friend’s son, Adam. Adam has numerous allergies and must be very careful.
As Jolie learns what ranch hands need to eat and how much! Jolie has memorized all of Adam’s allergies, both inside and out. Colson is afraid Adam is going to be hurt. Adam stay at the ranch house when he is not at school.
Then the biggest problem shows up. Adam’s grandparents appear. They want full custody of Adam, because they are family. Colson knows there are many reasons he was chosen to be Adam’s guardian. One the grandparents were never happy with their son, Tyler. Two, they don’t believe in doctors nor allergies. Therefore Adam would never be safe with them. The lawyer says the only thing that might keep Colson from keeping Adam would be that he is single.
The Rancher’s Marriage Bargain is another wonderful book by Mary Sue Jackson. This is the story of Jolie Hill, Colson Westland and sweet young Adam. The book description gives you all the information you need to know to pick this one up and have a heartwarming experience. Not all is sweet as cotton candy but Jolie and Colson see their way over, around or through the struggles and roadblocks that stand in their way. Eventually they get their HEA and have a joyous life.
This is a well written book with a solid story-line and nicely developed characters, including several supporting characters that add nicely to the story-line. Plus there is the sweetest little boy in Adam. There is drama, angst, misunderstandings, fun, emotions, romance and of course great chemistry that they try to fight but to no avail. I would recommend this book to other readers.
This book starts out with no expectations, other than it’s a book about a rancher, his little boy who is allergic to just about everything, and a woman chef who is going to be his undoing. The rancher is the guardian to the five year old little boy, having been best friends with the boy’s parents, who tragically died in an accident. The outgoing chef is terrific with the little boy, which is why she and said rancher get married to keep custody of the child and keep him out of the hands of his grandparents, who wouldn’t know how to keep him safe anyway. The way she helps him get over himself and help a little boy have fun are the bones of this story. And it goes on from there, making it a very entertaining book.
