This book started out sadly, with the death of Mr Bennet. It continues with a gentle telling of the developing love of Darcy and Elizabeth. There is a bit of angst as Mr Collins does his best to interfere. This is lovely variation and I look forward to more from this author.
I enjoyed the characters - well - most of them had redeeming qualities - and those who didn't got the end they deserved. Mrs Bennett got to be pleasant after some of her pressures shifted... Darcy never gave up. What a supportive gentleman in the Bennett's time of need. Elizabeth's time of need. Plot line had overwhelming positives with concerted group effort or Darcy effort to solve each problem as them came up... Nicely written with its own unique story that I very much enjoyed. Great accurate editing! Yes! I am anxious to read more from this author!
The beginning of the story is sad, but that is due to the circumstances in the storyline. From there this storyline is interesting, sweet, and inspirational. I truly enjoyed how the author made the story come alive with all the emotional aspects with in the storyline. Loved how Darcy won the love of Elizabeth, the "new" Bennet's attitudes and lives, and how real the plots are. Highly recommended to all to read
Very interesting take on P&P. I liked all the details describing the work that needed to be done to prep the cottage for the Bennett ladies to move into, and once Chapter 18 rolled around, I couldn’t stop reading. The author paints a vivid picture of a character who has truly gone to the dark side. A few passages took a while to understand, and there were some punctuation typos, but all in all one of better written P&P variations I’ve come across over the last several years. Kudos to the author!
I enjoyed this book but it did not inspire me or draw me in the way other variations have in order for me to give it 5 stars. I think the author did a nice job balancing the book with enough romance and action to keep the reader interested in seeing what would happen next. I would consider reading more by this author.
Nicely done with many archaic words to look up. But the premise is excellent despite the sad beginning. Elizabeth grows to love Darcy as she comes to know how kind he truly is. Then the schemes of the regular cast of baddies tries to separate them. Spoiler alert: they don't succeed.
Sweet story with plenty of love between ODC. Darcy is determined to be an exemplary problem solver for Elizabeth, her mother and remaining unmarried sisters. Still, there is a vicious villain and an unsuspected hero in case the reader needed excitement.
