An amazing conclusion to a Brilliant series so thoroughly enjoyable to read and sad that the story is over, but the characters will be always remembered.I am So looking forward to more stories and books from Craig A Falconer. If you have not read this book or the others in the series DO SO NOW I
Craig has a great way of explaining everything in detail that makes you believe that it is quite possibly real and not fantasy. It takes a great mind to do this and I am sure anyone who reads the Not Alone series will be very impressed.
I really enjoyed this series so thank you Craig for all your hard work. It's placement in current time makes it very relatable and the story unfolds in a way that has you feeling this could really happen. I also appreciated the description of how humanity looks as a whole from an outsiders perspective I thought it was very accurate. I will miss my friends in Birchwood but am able to let them go because the story was perfectly wrapped up.
Mr. Falconer delivered on this novel. To me, it is probably the best of the series because of the events that happen and how resolution is brought to almost every plot line. Just a slight difficulty I have is that although the ranting, front reporter for 'Blitz Media", Jan Geller, gets her just deserts, the shadowy business people for whom she was working appear to be left for the police to handle. There was no clarity on that. This reader was not left satisfied that those organizations that preyed upon the chaos that 'Blitz Media' created were not brought to justice, their organization destroyed, their wealth confiscated.
This five star rating is the highest I've given to any book in the series. I happily recommend it and the series to any reader contemplating diving into the series.
A wonderful, hugely entertaining out of the box story about alien encounter. Full of drama, fun, intrigue, deviousness, truth telling, political machinations, superb down to earth and out of this world heroes and tough decision making combined with strong relationships where it counts. If you want something that is far more than one group smashing another into oblivion then definitely buy the series.
If you want a space opera with lots of technology, space cruisers, weird and exotic weapons - forget the whole series of books. If you want a series of books that develops not only the plot but the characters in a reasonably authentic manner with literary licence thrown in - then read it. I was a little circumspect about the plot initially but as the series of books and characters developed - which one can with so many words to play with - I found Mr Falconer developing a read that became enjoyable from start to finish. He may have a little way to go in prose to match the Hamiltons , Banks or other Sci Fi giants, but he has made a solid start and I certainly look forward to reading his offerings in the future. Well worth the money and time!!
