Leading on from our explosive ending of Beautiful Liar, Beloved Liar starts off in quite a contemplative manner, a little more subdued than I thought it was going to go, but none-the-less, quite appropriate for the continuation of the storyline. Straight up, Reed is forced to take ownership of the mistakes he’s made in his relationship with Georgina and now has to decide which direction he wants to go. Georgina, begrudgingly, realizes the part she has played in the disconnect between her and Reed, but will she allow Reed to win back her badly broken heart? These tough decisions aren’t the only issues that make up this third and final installment in this gripping and entertaining series. There is a lot covered in this concluding part of the story and it certainly keeps your eye to the final page. Lauren Rowe gives us her all in Beloved Liar! She has painstakingly connected all the scattered pieces we were given in books 1 & 2, and in the process has given us a wonderfully designed and scripted piece of art. Reed and Georgie have been pure fire in this series and rest assured they continue to burn up the pages in book 3. The intense passionate awareness that exists between these two is emotionally tactile and fills the senses as you read. It is a dynamic connection that only Lauren Rowe can produce. Be ready to fully immerse yourself in the Lauren Rowe experience with this book and the entire series. A fascinating, humorous and provocative read. 5 Impressive stars
Lauren Rowe completely nailed Reed and Georgina’s story. I have loved every minute of it. This book, this journey, this ending was sublime. I wasn’t a fan of Reed in the beginning- his arrogance was off the charts, but as we learn from this trilogy, he had good reason to be arrogant; he was a self made multi-millionaire and all the artists that he took on made exceptional music and had exceptional results. He had a lot of insecurities when it came to his family though- they were his one weakness that he didn’t tell people about.
Georgina, however, I loved her from the very beginning. She has a sweetness, a kindness that people are attracted too but she has huge inner strength that stops her from being mistreated and allows her to stand up to people. It’s this strength that Reed initially misjudged and in turn fell in love with. But that’s the quality of Georgina, everyone underestimates her- mostly because she’s young, they believe her to be inexperienced, but then they come to realise that she has lived a lot in her few years.
There is soo much push and pull when these 2 come together and all the cameos from our previous loved ones were amazing. I love that Georgina went digging into Reeds past to see what she could find. In a way it helped Reed because he was such a closed book about himself that when she revealed she already knows everything all he had to do was except it and move on. He didn’t have to go through the emotional turmoil of reliving and telling her everything, which I think was wondrous thing.
The highly anticipated #BelovedLiar, I really love Georgina even if she is a little over dramatic 😂. Not what I accepted but enjoyable known the less. Reed does come across a little self destructive but honestly I think it’s more self-preservation, when you know his full story you can understand why, he certainly is loyal to the end. What are we going to do now that this epic tale is finished ! I know, listen to the audiobook 😂
A great trilogy with an awesome female role model who is not only ambitious but doesn't let the guy effect her drive to the top. Loved their story and that the FMC was able to separate personal life from work and dealt with situations constructively not emotionally.
