Oh, you know when a character needs to do something and they waffle around, and you as the reader can see the bridge is gone and knows she will get into trouble, and every other character in the book is telling her the same thing - yet, she keeps waffling around even more. For pity sake woman, get your shield in place. I want to shake her and not stop.
This had charm. And an excellent romance interest bubbling away. But I felt cheated by the interaction of the heroine and her ex and his mother - I needed a smackdown pay off and instead that appears to have happened off page. What a missed opportunity.
