Quirky and fun.

I had a lot of fun reading this. I liked Poppy, but her friendships with Dana and Mallory were wonderful, and seeing three very different women so close was just a great thing. I also appreciated that the characters were in their 40s. It’s nice to see women of that age being represented as the love interest in a paranormal romance.
The story itself wasn’t anything new for the genre, but I did love that Gramps was the one who helped her, and the guys were on the milder side for shifters so that was a nice detour from the usual over the top dominant and aggressive males. Thomas, on the other hand, was just as obnoxious as needed. He was a great character to focus your loathing on.
The story ends with everything all wrapped up, but it was also my one gripe with the story. I would rather hints and any subsequent books show us rather than a big info dump that leaves this as a potential stand alone story.
