Robyn Peterman It's A Wonderful Midlife Crisis: A Paranormal Women's Fiction Novel: Good To The Last Death Book One is a Paranormal Women's Fiction that is perfectly divine, original and quirky. I laughed so hard that I literally cried as I took the journey with Daisy who has a new job and has absolutely no idea how she got so lucky and just as much no idea what to do except for needing a constant box of superglue. Learning that she has inherited the position and all it entails comes as something as a shock but one she is bound and determined to make her own. I loved it. Robyn has a way with words that just pop off the page and right into the imagination to bring it to life. She and the other group of authors that have banded together to bring brilliance of women over 40 a new lease on life. Hail the Fab 13, I have never read anything like it and I can’t wait for the next installments from them.
There is almost everything in this book. Angels some with good intentions, One who is jealous, mean, and horrible to fellow workmates. Hellhound and a demons, who is warm and friendly So read on people, you'll love it.
Robyn Peterman never disappoints with her stories. This is no exception, her quirky characters are always enthralling and enjoyable. Daisy and Gideon are no exception as are the supporting cast I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
It’s Robyn Peterman, what more needs to be said? Ok, Amazon wants more words. A heroine who’s habit of assuming she knows what the heck is going on even when blind Freddie can see she has no idea stuffs up everything. The uber hot love interest and various hilarious girlfriends populate this well written story. Bring on book 2
Loved this book, found through #PWF & #Fab13. Loved the humour, the sadness and the storyline. Great to see someone of an age group I can relate to. This is the sort of book those of us who refuse to grow up need. I can't wait for the rest of the series.
Daisy has just turned forty and she’s not having a good time. For one thing she is still grieving the death of her husband, Steve. For another, she keeps seeing dead people! Not only are they dead but they keep trying to talk to her while various appendages keep falling off them! Seeing rotting people is bad enough but finding an arm in the laundry is the outside of enough. There’s only one answer, superglue! So she starts gluing on the wayward limbs and starts to accept them for themselves. Daisy is the epitome of a good person. She is kind and does her best to help others so it’s no wonder that she starts trying to understand her ghosts. This is a very unusual story. It has humour and pathos and describes an afterlife that is completely opposite to what is believed. Daisy’s little town is a portal between heaven, hell and earth and Daisy is getting a fast lesson in what gives! But she makes some mistakes before she finds out how it all works. A great read!
This is my very first Robyn Peterman book. Isn’t it funny how you can read hundreds of books same genre, get a bit bored of same old same old and them bam a new author gets your attention. Well this book certainly got my attention. I laughed at the zany lead character Daisy who unbeknownst to her inherits the family job of Death Counsellor - assisting ghosts to deal with unfinished business so that they can get to the afterlife. Sound like the usual storyline to you? 😂😂😂what a crack up. Daisy’s husband Steve dies and he joined the many number of ghosts squatting in Daisy’s house needing her assistance. Turns out Steve cannot go to the afterlife until he resolves their marriage issues. Daisy also meets the handsome Lawyer at her work Gideon who turns out to be the Grim Reaper (of course he is 😂😂). Absolutely fabulous writing here, so funny and heartwarming. Just loved it, now waiting on the next book. This is brilliant stuff, highly recommend it.
Okay, okay I know I probably say it a lot but this was Robyn’s best book ever!!!!!
Daisy is amazing, she is strong, smart and very resourceful with superglue... lol I love Gram she makes me smile, she makes me laugh out loud and she loves Daisy to pieces.
This story was beyond hilarious what with the ghosts that seemed more like zombies, a boss who is more than horrible and a new lawyer in the firm how is more than just hot, hot, hot he is other worldly lol...
I love how Daisy is finding her own way to be counseling ghosts and helping them move on her unique takes on it makes for many laugh out loud moments and some really sweet ones as well.
This was an outstanding story and I am looking forward to more in the series.
I’m really not sure how to review this one. I really enjoyed the humour. How Poppy interacted with the ghosts and everyone really, was quirky, adorable and funny. Their were touching moments that I had a little cry over. It was paced nicely and the mystery had me dying to know. The end is kind of a cliffhanger. I really need to know what happens next. I have preordered the next one.
I literally laughed out loud a number of time’s while reading this book. Some of these lines would be great on a t-shirt! I wish I’d had a grandmother who was as cool as Gram. Daisy’s friends were warm and funny and loyal. Her life is chaotic but she makes it work. I refuse to list all the great things that are spoilers. I can’t wait for the second book.
