Beware of Fitbit+ fees

I love the Fitbit social connections, with friend lists etc. Fitbit does this very well. I moved to Garmin for the oxygen sensing but since that came to Fitbit I purchased this one so I could join my friends again. Unfortunately, to get proper readings Fitbit wants me to purchase an annual plan which sucks! Not doing that. Without it it will not give me numeric oxygen readings. I like to see lowest recorded and average Oxygen sats overnight as well as average heart rate during sleep, ... In fact there were a few other health measures that I found were missing, like a body battery kind of measure. Sleep quality didn't cut it for me. Also, the VO2 estimate seemed entirely wrong. Garmin tells me I am in the bottom 20% of fitness for my age group, Fitbit tells me I am above average! I have Cystic Fibrosis, operate on under 40% lung function and cannot swim or jog without going into coughing fits, so I don't believe the VO2 estimate of Fitbit....
Despite the above criticism, it is a greater watch for the average fitness freak/fan, easy to operate, great to have built-in GPS and the NFC chip for paying with the watch is very cool and convenient. Value for money is wonderful, looks great, good battery life, I am still a Fitbit fan, but I hope they work on it and cut out the extra charging requirement!! That really made me change back to my old Garmin.
