I read the rest of the series so long ago that I honestly don't remember anything about it except that I loved it. When I saw this release I knew I had to get my hands on it. And luckily for me it can be read as a standalone. But I really have a massive urge to do a reread before Adams book.
Iain started off as a massive jerk and I really wanted to see him get put in his place. He was so cold and came across so unfeeling that if half the book wasn't told from his point of view I probably would have hated him.
Where as Holland I adored from the first page. She was so sweet for everything that her mum had put her through she didn't let it get her down or make her bitter. She just dealt with it and worked her a$$ off to get what she wanted.
I love that she gave Iain as good as she got. She called him out on his behavior and didn't she away from asking him what she wanted to know. Every step of the way she fought to be treated like an equal instead of as his best friends baby sister.
Watching their relationship grow and learning everything they have been through had me glued to the pages. And I couldn't put it down trying to figure out what the twist was. And when it came out I was so relieved. There was the right amount of drama to keep my interest but not too much to make it unrealistic.
I love this authors writing style and everyone of these books has been awesome. I really hope that Adam and A.J. are up next.
Now or Never is a story that will not only light your body up like a fireworks display but the love story between Iain and Holland will dominate your mind with an intense passion you never expecting. Iain was a character that appeared composed and unaffected but you felt the want and affection he kept locked inside but it was the reason for this that you needed to uncover. Holland held you captive by not only her vulnerability but also her internal strength. This was a story I devoured, kept me on the edge of my seat as the layers were peeled away one chapter at a time to finally give us the all consuming love that had been brewing between two people who had always had a connection. This was a book you did not only read but felt with every fiber of your being.
I haven't read any of the previous books in this series but had no problems at all as far as I am concerned it reads as a total stand alone
He was her older brothers best friend ten years older than her but that didn't stop Holland from having a huge crush on Iain, He left and has made himself a name as a sports manager and now they have met again. He is determined to protect her an make her is but she isn't the little girl that he called kiddo she has left that life behind her and now has a back bone of steel. Do they have a future together You will have to read to see
I was given a copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
Just like every other fan of this series, I was waiting what seemed like forever for this book. And goodness me was it so worth that wait!! Right from the very first chapter I knew this book was something special. I loved, loved, loved Iain and Hollands story. So much so that it has inspired me to go back and start from the beginning all over again with a reread of all five books. Now I have my fingers crossed that Adam has story for him - and pretty please with a cherry on top can I not have to wait so long between books again? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book via Hidden Gems
