I have been waiting to hear Rath's story since he first hit the scene in The Secret to Dating Your Best Friends Sister. In case you haven't read that one, Rath is the best friend of that hero, Bram, and they have the best Bromance that I love to read, along with Roark from Diary Of A Bad Boy. These guys make an amazing threesome!
But when Rath is at work, its all Boss Man Crusty Pants and keeping his business manner professional and that is the total opposite of Charlee Bag of Dicks! Well actually her name is Charlee Cox but.... you see where the nickname comes from. And I will be totally honest, she did grate on my nerves at the beginning as I felt she was just so over the top, I couldn't see any connection between the two... but hang in there peoples, it all comes to light and she isn't as crazy as her first week on the job. She is a vibrant and voracious woman who loves her job and anything relating to Planners. By chapter eight, I was in love with her!
All in all, I had a great time reading this book. I cherished the way Rath learnt to relax and have fun but also how he grew within a relationship. He was an exceptional Bridegroom and Charlee was the absolute right gal for him. There were a few little storyline segments that didn't feel right to me, but it didn't sour the tale so I can live with it. There was however a little too much of the back and forth that had me wondering if it was advantageous or not, but that is the beauty of reading a book, the choice is yours to make. And I say, give this one a go!
Charlee is a girl after my own heart. I have no idea of office supplies conventions is an actual thing in the US, but I sure wish that they existed in Australia! It sounds like heaven! In the beginning, I was concerned that Charlee may be a bit too full on to handle for a full book. I love whacky characters, but she was pushing my limit. Luckily, the reader soon learns there is a reason for her OTT behaviour, and after a while she tones it down, and while still a bit out there, it’s within my limits!
Rath and Charlee just worked together, without spoiling anything, they were great to watch together. Yes, there were many times I wanted to kick them both in the pants and tell them to communicate, but I guess that’s all part of the fun.
It was lovely to meet up with Bram again, and my only regret is that we only see the brash Roark, the Roark we all met and fell in love with is still there, but we only get glimpses of him.
Overall, Bossman Bridegroom was a funny, emotional and completely addictive read. I enjoyed it all, but I was absolutely glued to my Kindle by the 50% mark. Meghan Quinn has another winner in this one.
Oh my gosh! This book was so much fun! I was hooked! Rath and Charlee have an amazing connection, and the banter between the two of them was fantastic. I was literally laughing out loud at my kindle at times, I loved it so much.
Both our main characters have been hurt in the past, and are cautious about any new romantic relationships. Both have good reason, but I felt more connected to Charlee's. Maybe because that was explained a little bit more from the start.
There are some fabulous secondary characters as well, my favourites being Grandma and Linus.
I really enjoyed this one, but I don't want to give anything away, so I will just say that you need to go out and get this book! Highly recommend!
I admit it took me awhile to warm up to Charlee but once I got used to her absolute uniqueness I totally fell in love with her. The things that fall out of her mouth and her over the top actions had me laughing out loud so many times. She is simply an outstanding character and made this book as brilliant as it is. Then there is Rath. To begin with I felt sorry for him with all the crazy Charlee brought to his life, but I really do think she was what was missing from his life - he just didn’t know it. Another wonderful read from one of my favorite authors and I cannot wait to get my hands on her next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
A book with Rath, Bram and Roark is always hilarious. Rath and Bram’s bromance is so quirky, adorable and hysterical. Poor Julia being second to her husband from her own brother. Rath is so intense that the effervescent Charlee is a huge shock to his system but an extremely funny one. She stirs his work and person life up which is just what he needs, they end up in a fake engagement which of course is just hiding their true feelings. Thankfully they get past theirs up and downs to find their HEA. A funny endearing read. Will be sorry to say goodbye to the crazy group of friends
This book was hilarious! This book had me laughing out loud straight up. I mean a really good belly laugh. The one-liners in this book were perfectly placed. My gosh! Charlee - I think everyone needs her in their life. Rath - dreamy when he didn't have is crusty pants on. I am loving this series and somehow Meghan is able to take it up a notch with each new book. This book is worth more than 5 stars.
This book is so funny and so amazing. I have never laughed so hard in my life. I love our heroine the most ❤️. She is so good and I love that she never shy away from any challenges.
