I’ve had this on my kindle for ages, but never got around to reading it until now. And to be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about it, exactly.
I liked the idea of an ex-nun and a former demon teaming up as they solve the cosy mystery of the moment. However, I would have liked to read a condensed version of Trixie’s possession as it is referred to frequently, but I felt left out of the conversation, so to speak. Apart from that, Coop is endearing, Knuckles a bit of a fairy godfather figure, and Higgs and Jay are potential friends.
An intoxicating premise fills this book's universe, a possessed ex-nun and a demon solve crimes together. In most part the book lives up to the premise, the characters are dimensioned and the story chugges along more than happily. There was a bit too much explaining about an earlier book which added nothing to this story but despite this it settled down to be a good tale.
