Abner was raised as an Amish child until an accident claimed his father and step brother. His Amish step mother had sent him away, due to grief. He never returned and moved in with his mother. He left home to work with a group of people who harvest the farms during growing seasons. He purchased a farm in North Dakota. He has to return to his hometown because of the death of his grandmother.
Cora is a single mother of six children. Most have different fathers. She and Abner have some what of a past, he thinks she used him, and she thinks he hates her for saying that her baby was his, but he didn’t stay to get an explanation, he just left.
What a great story, I read other books when he was mentioned in them and I’m glad he finally has his story.
My disclaimer... I was given a copy of this book for my honest review. Any book or novels I leave reviews on are not dependent on the book/novel review author’s opinion. No one influenced my voluntary review for any of the books or novels I read, they are my own opinions.
This was a truly amazing book in this series. No two are alike or even close. And just when you think you have favourite another steps up to take its place.
Abner is a guy like no other. He takes on a woman who broke his heart many years ago. But she comes with baggage.......in the form of 6 children, 4 different fathers. None of them are his, but he takes them all on as if they are. Loving them all, wife included, unconditionally. But will she ever love him in return?
I received this as a complimentary copy and I am giving my honest review
