Top critical review
Gosh..I dislike being the dissenting reviewer.

I agree with all the reviews that Scarlett and Gabe were great characters. I just thought a trilogy was unnecessary. Indeed this story would have been considerably more enjoyable if the second book had not been published. The first book was sensational and the pacing perfect. From there on it was the long way to arrive at their happy ever after.
At times the story descended into melodrama, I suspect people that enjoyed Titanic will have loved this trilogy. The end was telegraphed clearly, for me, there was no genuine drama. As I mentioned in my review of the House of Scarlett, her girlfriends were over the top in protecting Scarlett. I wasn't sure if they knew the Scarlett we were reading cause it sure sounded like they thought Scarlett was not capable of making her own life choices. So here are my tips. If you love Titanic, you will love this series. I do recommend book one, Legend it was a terrific story. Skip book two cause it's just Gabe and Scarlett getting their groove on. Buy this book, and you will have the HAE. It's a real disappointment that the author could not maintain the terrific standard of book one. However, I suspect the profits from the trilogy will be excellent. Once book one hooked me what was I to do?
