Home-Based Jobs and Business By Gundi Gabrielle This is the author who started me on the self-publishing route and I have LOVED all her books since then. This one is an exception to the rule. I adored it. Can’t believe the sheer number of ideas, many I had never even imagined in my wildest dreams. Actually 127 but who’s counting? Stay in bed for 70 days and get paid for it. Come on. Really? But it’s true and the other 218 pages are jam-packed with ways of making money. Mostly from home. Except the travel ones, of course. There are links to gain more information on every page. Often 2 or three links. This info includes cheat-sheets, videos, downloadable ebooks, in-depth ‘how-to guides’ from experts in the various fields, reports and everything in between. Some of the ideas I bookmarked to return to as follows: Teach your passion, review new music; and books, (and some not for me - Where do these ideas come from? Selling used make-up, selling customer receipts?). What about selling cardboard boxes? Never thought about that, did you? Me neither. Most of the opportunities are American as is to be expected, but Gundi points out the ones that are international. Some even in Australia. Way cool. And what about providing a welcome service to people visiting your home town. Yep. I like that one. Virtual Bookkeeping is another one I’ll be telling a friend about. And writing, of course. Gundi is the reason behind my own book. That’s enough. Even if you are not looking for a job, or a side hustle, this book is a must-read. You will be blown away by the research Gundi has done and the huge number of things anyone can do. Even me. Entertaining is not the half of it. Read it for fun. Just read it. Mind-boggling doesn’t even come close. Great work. I am so excited and looking forward to reading it again, to figure out exactly what I will do. 1 million stars.
I’ve read several books by this author, and they genwrally are very good - clear and articulate.
This one has some of these qualities, but I live in Australia, and plenty of the links in this book are for those in the US.
The author notes this early on, and recommends just googling keywords related to the book category, adding your country/city name. Understandable, but I got this book for recommendations backed by author research.
I also found many categories in this book were not relevant to me - cooking, fashion, etc.
But a few ideas had potential, and I’m going to investigate those.
I live in Australia so a lot of the compiled lists of companies didn't apply to me but it's given me sooooo many ideas and I'll be googling for the equivalent in my country. All of the obvious home businesses I've been advertised to death by weren't in here which was refreshing. Gundi has well researched this book for excellence alternatives and i love that. Here's an example: I run 25km a day and right after learning about Steps for $ i joined. I calculated that I'd make $200 if everyone stuck to their commitment (not everyone will = more $ for me). Now im making money doing something that i was doing for free :) It's not a business obviously but that $ will pay for my next pair of runners. Her Passive Income book is another eye opener if your still wanting more.
Congratulations to Gundi Gabrielle on such a fun, practical book that is stuffed full of ideas and links to get you started! Read this book if you want to start thinking outside the square of “at home” businesses. Although a few options don’t apply to me, living in Australia, there are enough ideas that sparked my interest to give this book 5 stars. I am now encouraging my two children to read it to really get their imaginations going on what is available when you have solid information to guide you.
