I have been waiting for Cade's story and Echo did not disappoint. It's my favourite of all the Linear Tactical books. And that's saying something because all the books in this series are so good. Peyton is a single mom working 3 jobs to give her daughter, Jess, a good life. As a financial backer, Cade wasn't one of the Linear Tactical team but he did have skills to protect himself and Peyton. It's a good thing, too, because he needed them. He grew up with money and now that he's a music superstar, he has more than he'll ever need. Peyton's life was the complete opposite.
I appreciated Peyton and Cade clearing up their misunderstanding fairly quickly so they could have a relationship. There was lots of romance and suspense to keep me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. I loved the children. They added some humour to this book. Jess was only 4 but was so smart she seemed older. Ethan was such a cutie. He made it his responsibility to protect Jess. This made sense since he intended to marry her when they were older.
Romantic Suspense fans are going to love this book. Readers will feel a wide range of emotions: happy, sad, intrigued, angry, hopeful and frustrated. It’s a good read that will leave you smiling.
I was lucky to receive a copy of this book for review consideration
I'd rate it 10 stars if I could! Just amazing! I couldn't read fast enough for much of this book. Peyton and Cade were like the perfect couple. They certainly had their history and issues to deal with but with the help of friends and family, things worked out in the end. Not as expected, but close. The action certainly never slowed down and as I said, there were many times I just couldn't read fast enough to keep up with the action. I love Janie Crouch's writing style, so easy to read, lots of action and lots of feel good moments as well. I have enjoyed all the books in the Linear Tactical series, and this one had been just as great. I'm finding it difficult to say which is my favourite now that Echo had been added to the mix. Truly an action packed great book! This was an ARC and so glad to be able to review this fantastic book!
We need more star's to award! This book is fabulous! So very well written, the story just flows page by page. Peyton truly believes Cade left her and their child behind. Cade has a meddlesome Aunt who thought she was protecting him by not telling some very important information, add in a alcoholic mother and abusive step father for Peyton and life is very hard. Cade is a country superstar, he has a writing partner who is very protective about Cade writing songs and touring. Little Jess is adorable, and her best friend Ethan is very protective, the man to man talk between Cade and Eathan is amazingly awesome. This book will play with your emotions, you will laugh, cry, and occasionally curse. This has to be one of the best book Janie Crouch has ever written! And I'm eagerly waiting for the next book in the LT series.
