Warrior Fae Trapped: Book #1 (DDVN World #7) by K.F. Breene is absolutely brilliantly magical. KF has rocked the house once again. Her stories know no bounds and her creative mind is like a playground where you want to go hang out. I love that she is true to herself when writing her stories and nothing is off the table. It shows with every word written. KF is a true master at weaving her weirdness and translating it into a world that is utterly enthralling and the characters are crazy and wild, sassy and strong and their badassery is to be commended. The sarcastic lines and witticism are a true masterpiece to behold. It is not just a story it is an experience.
I was unable to put this book down, I sat and read it in one sitting as I did not want to lose a minute of momentum. I found myself howling out loud at the banter and one liners, hubby thought I had gone insane.
Charity has street smarts and is brave and sassy and wild and reckless as well. She unwittingly comes across a world that she never knew existed and is clueless and oblivious to the danger around her. She is also more than she seems.
Devon is a sub alpha and runs a small pack of shifters and is still trying to prove himself to the top guy. He is also a one and done kind of guy and he has just found the one person on the planet that drives him insane but his find is more precious than any of them realise. His orders are to protect at all cost but can he fight the evil that is trying to steal her away.
Get crackalacking because never read this type of genre before then dip your toes in the pool. I can guarantee you will love, love, love it.
Another strong cast of strong and unique magical beings to add to the DDVN series. A strong and initially a submissive poor girl who happens upon vampires and wolves. Stumbling into their world, she fumbles her way into their presence. Even though initially cast as an awkward introvert, her strength shines through and is strong as Penny and Reagan. I enjoyed the relationship dynamics and explosive chemistry between her and the alpha it had me rooting for them all the way. Good twists in the story and I can't wait to read the Warrior fae princess next. Love the series that showcases strong, funny and smart women with great warriors by their side. Highly recommend the book.
This whole world series is like a comfy blanket. For the longest time Reagan's story was everything. I didn't want to screw it up, so I kept Penny's series at arms length. After finally reading the second installment, I realized that Breene had really won me over . Not only has she managed to create new and vital players in an interesting subset of her original story, she has kept the master character/s relevant and firmly seated in dare I say, a favorite position. Even though we've only just met Charity and Devon, like the others, I'll follow wherever they go.
I was a bit reluctant to read this but I was in a book slump and thought I'd give a go. And what a treat this was. I loved Regan and Penny and Charity here promises to another great story. Strong, powerful heroine with a hot alpha. Great dialogue and fantastic chemistry and character development. Looking forward to next book where expect lots of unanswered questions to revealed. Am so glad there was no OW for I moment there I braced myself for disappointment but happy to report there is no OW.
I haven't read the other DDVN books but I enjoyed this one a lot. It was a slow start and I found the POV was not always clear at the start of each chapter but the action soon ramped up and I was hooked. Charity and Devon's interactions were electrifying (literally and figuratively) and so adorable that I found myself cheering them on. Great read !
