I didn’t think twice about buying this book to support Rangan Chatterjee since I get so much value out of his free podcast. And even though I’m a regular and engaged listener, and the book covers familiar ground, I still got a lot of extra value out of the book. There’s something special about reading a caring expert’s curated thoughts about how we can make things better for ourselves.
The philosophy of this book, implementing simple 5 minute activities to improve all dimensions of my health and outlook, is something I needed. My adventures in self-improvementland fall apart because I overthink, over plan, over optimise, and then overWHELM. I find Dr Chatterjee’s writing to be grounding and very compassionate.
The snacks I selected combined into a lovely thing that has really lifted my spirits. Running (body), in nature (mind), with my 12yo son (heart). How lovely this has been! We go down to the running track at the local high school oval in the late afternoon, enjoying the fresh air and birdsong as the sun begins to set, and do laps and sprints together - my son repeatedly saying, “Mum, this is really fun with you. We’re really bonding.” <heart> Thanks Dr Chatterjee!
Dr Ragan Chatterjee has provided me with the advice, encouragement and inspiration to transform my life. By following his advice of becoming the architect of my own health, by making slow and sustainable lifestyle changes, at 38 years old, I am healthier and happier than I’ve ever been before. I really do feel better than ever and this enables me to live and love life more. I would highly recommend Dr Chatterjee’s books to anyone wishing to make positive and sustainable changes to their lifestyle in order to gain greater health and happiness.
