It’s always great to go back to Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott’s Unbreakable series, and this time it’s with Rowe and Noah, masters of chaos and mayhem. This book was very entertaining, I’ve always loved Noah’s calm acceptance of Rowe’s fiery nature. I have a feeling these two would be a little frightening to see in action, they have some truly amazing skills. But they’re sweet as well, so maybe not too frightening. There’s a new character, JB, who I hope we will meet again. It wouldn’t be right to have an Unbreakable book without an appearance from Lucas, and no spoilers but a very entertaining appearance! So, action, romance, a little angst, some very hot moments...what more could you want?
I have loved this series from the start, but there is just something about Rowe and Noah that really grabs at me. Maybe it's that they don't see marriage and kids as a logical evolution to their relationship - or maybe it's because they're both wild and a little crazy when it comes to hunting down people and blowing stuff up! Whatever it is, makes for great reading.
This book sees Noah's old Ranger buddy (and sort of ex) JB show up with someone on his tail trying to kill him. With the other 2 members of their former Ranger group of 4 now dead, and someone taking shots at Noah, he and Rowe decide to help JB get to the bottom of things. As is typical for this series, they don't expect the depth of what they stumble across, nor that the government would be involved. But rest assured Noah and Rowe get to have some fun play time, and bring out some new toys for the Ward Security crew to play with as they take down the bad guys.
It's easy to see from this book that the series is nearing its end. All of the couple's except Noah and Rowe are settling down and starting families, so the crazy antics they all got up to earlier in the series are grinding to a halt. That said, I know there is one more book for Ian and Hollis, which I can't wait to read. I'm also looking forward to checking out the Ward Security spin off series, and the other works by these authors too.
Definitely a series I would recommend, and this book is one of my faves in the series thus far. A lot of fun without some of the darkness and sadness that overshadowed some of the earlier books.
Yet another fantastic book in this series. Once again very well written with complex characters and lots of action. Rowe and Noah are both worrying about what the others view is on marriage and children. This is whilst someone has killed all but one of Noah’s old Army team. So amongst Noah’s ex back on the scene, people shooting at them, grenades, blowing up buildings and more ridiculous codes names, they finally get to talk about their concerns. Old friends also pop in for a quick visit. Highly recommend this book.
Another amazing book in this series. Noah and Rowe are my favourites, then again Andrei is a walking dreamboat (in my mind.. sign). This book is full of excitement, love and loyalty. Highly recommend ❤️
