What a wonderful story this was to read, i absolutely loved Nan and Dan, it truely was a delight to read their story. Before Nan went of to visit her brother, Nan and Dan were good together, at the BDSM club where they both were partnered and outside during normal hours they were friends. But after Nan left she had very little contact with her friends, even Dan tried to contact her. Then one day she came home clearly not herself, traumatised she wont say what has happened to her she is broken. She wont say what at first but little by little she tells her girlfriends, then when she decides to go to the club, thinking herself ok, it turns out that she cant handle what she went though. Things go missing then come back, lights go out and she swears that she didnt turn them off, Dan her master, her Sir comes up with an idea to help Nan get back and get over her troubles. But heaven help them if he realises what she has been though.
If you've read any of the cowboy books by BJ Wane you would be familiar with the characters of Nan & Dan. This couple finally gets their story & while the rhyming names did annoy me somewhat, this is a very satisfying, standalone read. One thing which I particularly love, which this author is very good at, is putting the reader in the minds of the characters. Not just the females, but also the men. This allows the reader an insight into the how & why of what the heroes are thinking. This story dealt with the aftermath of some very trauma to Nan & I think it was written very intelligently & sensitively. This is a great read & I would highly recommend it.
