I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book after devouring the first one in the Penthouse Affair series. Thankfully I didn't have to wait too long between books. So many times throughout this book I wanted to reach through my kindle and give Presley a big 'ole shake. I wanted her to stand up for herself, to walk away and make Dominic realise what he would indeed be missing if she wasn't in his life anymore. It takes her a while - too long if you ask me - but she does eventually get there. I want to say so much more about this book but I know I will give away too much of the storyline. But one thing I know is that I can't wait to get my hands on Kendall's next story.
The conclusion of Presley and Dominic’s story is here! Picking up from where book one ended Dominic goes to pick up Presley after she calls him for help. However, they still have a few obstacles in their way before they can be together. Dominic asks Presley to accompany him to London to scout out a new location for the hotel expansion and it doesn’t quite end how she imagines. She decides to fight for what she wants until more drama unfolds😢
I still feel like I’m not sure why this was made a duet really - both books were fairly short and it all carried together However in the end I loved Presley and dom ! Presley made some pretty silly choices but they turned out in the end . A nice love story :) :)
This book picks up directly where book one left off, with Dominic and Presley not in a good place in their relationship. Dominic is not a man who trusts easily and he believes Presley has betrayed him. His brain is telling him to cut her loose, but his body - and his heart - disagree.
He has a major deal on the line and he needs Presley, so he persuades her to continue the charade of being his girlfriend. Presley needs the money to support herself and her brother, so she can't refuse. Eventually, Dominic comes to realise that maybe Presley was telling the truth, and his feelings for her aren't fleeting. His twin girls adore her, and so does he.
You know when you read one of Kendall's books that you'll get a few laughs, great sex scenes, and a happily ever after, and she never disappoints. Looking forward to her next book!
So leading on from where book 1 ended the book goes on to tell the rest of the story between Presley and Dom. Dom is even more standoffish towards our heroine in this book but he has some reason to be. Presley would do anything to change this.
I read this book fast, it was hooking i must say. I enjoyed the final part of the story and the ending had my heart flying. Part 2 was steamy, sinful, and heartwarming in parts. I liked how Presley stood up for herself when Dom was being his brooding self. I really enjoyed it. I know this is vague but if I was to elaborate it would give too much away.
