Dom story continues the adventures of the Hell Squad the survivors of an alien invasion of earth, if you haven’t read the rest of the series I highly recommend doing so, although each book can be read as a stand-alone to fully appreciate the storyline and all the involvement of the others who appear in this story it’s worth the read. Dom who was a mafia hit man desperate to go straight after being brought up in the “family” was in Australia with his mob boss when the invasion happened, is now one of the good guys fighting with a band of men determined to rid earth of its invaders, but because of his past didn’t think he deserved love especially from Arden, a woman who lost her family in the early days of the invasion, these two lost souls find each other while they fight for survival and for the friends who are now family, as they band together and prove that humanity will overcome impossible odds to survive and find love once more
Finally we get the tough, broken Dom’s story. It’s great to see his heart amongst all the pain and suffering he’s been through. Arden is the opposite of Dom, she was unconditionally loved by her husband and kids, and from that love she truly sees the value, worth and especially the heart of Dom he keeps so well hidden. Anna has done an amazing job of writing the story of this unlikely couple who fit so perfectly. It was great to meet some new and unexpected characters, hopefully this means we’ve got a few extra stories in this great series.
I received an ARC of ‘’Hell Squad: Dom’ and have freely chosen to read and review it. My review is honest and fair and is in no way incentivised.
