I was looking forward to this book after reading “Andrew’s Outback Love”, the first book in the series, but I am disappointed. Ruby has a PhD in nursing and is a member of a Royal Flying Doctor team working out of Bourke in NSW. In the first book she comes across as a no-nonsense, tell-it-as-it-is character but in this book she is insipid.
The portrayal of Bourke is full of inconsistencies. It a small town with a small hospital and one general practitioner yet it has three ambulances.
I won’t be reading the next book in the series when it comes out.
