I don’t think I can’t wait u til August for the sequel. This book is such a good read and the last 85% literally had me in tears 😭
This is a NA bully RH romance, and the Ballers are cruel. Tessa is super brave but she has a dream and a determination to make those dreams come true. You know “laugh in the face of adversity” well there are many adversities put in front of Tessa and she perseveres, growing and getting stronger every incident.
Now there’s no happy ending you’ll have to keep reading having said that there’s no cliffhanger either but I am super anxious to find out what happens from here.
The storyline is great awesome plot twists throughout the book. It’s well written and the pace is fantastic I couldn’t put it down. You will love to hate the antagonist, he is a right piece of work, I wish he was real so I could punch him! 🥊 jealous, sexist pr🤬ck!!!! The rest of the Ballers are cowards. None of them deserve Tessa.
I seriously enjoyed this book. Like I have that butterfly energy in my stomach and my toes are curling after I have finished the book feeling.
The characters were amazing. The depth of the characters was thought out well, the personalities of the guys was intriguing and different and the FMC was a serious bad ass execpt she needs to roar, however she does learn this layer on in the book.
It's definitely a bully romance RH but on the tamer side than what I have read lately.
The ending was just awesome and I can't wait to read Foul Line and see those guys get their asses handing to them. I hope she doesn't go easy on them and in fact Hayes is now my favourite just simply for his slight actions in the ending - can't wait!
Two things, awesome read, annoying heroine. Tessa needs to find those balls (no pun intended) and grow a back bone. I hope in the second book she doesn’t forgive easily and shoves her success in the “ballers” face. Ryan also needs to grovel the most. If I was in her shoes, none of them would be getting a third chance. In real life, strong women wouldn’t let that shit fly.
Ok now that my rant is over. Such a good book nonetheless.
Another gripping series kicked off my EM Moore. Well written with a great basketball themed take on high school bully RH. Loved that Tessa was a non-traditional fiesty strong yet also loving and vulnerable female ball player. She was admirable how she made the tough choices and stuck to it no matter how much she was pushed to achieve her goals. She has real grit and determination. Fantastic friend in Dawn. Some really good support characters though am definitely not a big fan of her dad.
The baller boys were bastards as expected and can’t wait to see how this evolves because of course just when they start to win you over there is a twist.
Oh Tessa how my heart breaks for you! What an addictive, heart wrenching, emotional roller coaster! I couldn’t put this book down once I started! Tessa’s conflicting emotions with the people in her life have nothing on her passion for basketball. Between her parents breakup, and the ballers determination to make her leave, she stands solid. I love her dedication and drive to go after he dream. There were so many times she could have given up, and maybe someone weaker would, but she was so strong and focused! Love love love!
Welcome to the intense world of Rockport High basketball team. E M Moore delivers an intense, heart pounding, angst ridden start to the series. The scene is set almost immediately and continues fast paced throughout. Tessa endures and is a strong main, the boys are everything gorgeous bullies should be. Book 2 cannot come soon enough. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Sooo I wanted to wait until the complete series was out before reading The Ballers if Rockport High Series but I just couldn't help myself. Man am I glad I didn't wait!! What an amazing series!! Cannot wait to binge read the rest of series 😍
