Set in the seaside town of Cinnamon Bay, Eva meets Mac. She inherited a coffee shop. He comes to the bay to find out about his birth family, in desperate need of wifi he comes across Eva's cafe. This story is the introduction to a new series written by a variety of authors, it can be read as a standalone with Hea. I think the multiple authors was a little grinding for me as the story seemed a little disjointed at times and ran hot and cold much like the couple. An OK read.
I feel as though I am invested in this series and I wondered how this first book would come together with multiple authors. The answer is ‘absolutely perfect’. A beautiful bayside town, a cast of amazing, loveable characters and all the local places they frequent. Eva and Mac’s story has set the scene for all the books still to come and I, for one, can’t wait. Highly recommended!
An enjoyable read, loved the intrepid trio, they're special, added the giggles with their antics. I couldn't help liking the characters and their story and hopefully some more glimpses of them as the Cinnamon Bag stories continue.
This would appeal to a true romantic. A story with a touch of the whimsical. The characters had promise but I notice there were a few co-writers, perhaps trying to do too much with the tale. At times I wasn't quite sure what the focus was on & it irritated me that both H's were to quick to act & not see reason. One, maybe twice but not every time. The busy bodies has been done before & while it's a nice touch I don't feel for me it achieved the desired effect. The story wasn't bad it just didn't quite come together for me.
