I found this to be a fabulously sweet, easy and enjoyable read. It will go into my reread rotation when looking for something comforting.
I enjoyed the premise and found it refreshing that the author made the heroine a positive person who wasn’t a doormat. Everly is happy, loves her job and wants to help others. She has a very colourful dating history and I recommend grabbing the prequel ‘Everly Daltons Dating Disaters’ to experience her bad luck with men.
Shepherd was not your average ‘uptight boss’ and I enjoyed getting to know him and watching him open up to Everly.
I don’t even know how I bought ‘Faking Ms. Right’ is a stand alone fun romance by Claire Kingsley. I literally accidentally one clicked, but I adored it! I am definitely going to buy this authors back catalogue. Funny, original, sexy, just fabulous.
Everly has the worst dating luck ever. She has had a horrible string of first dates. Everly has decided to give dating a rest for awhile. She loves spending time with her two best friends, Nora and Hazel. She is an executive assistant to one of Seattle’s richest men, and loves her job. Everly is one of those people that it just seems like the sun is shining down on her wherever she goes. Everyone she meets is like her best friend.... “I liked making people happy. It was my catnip. Getting someone grouchy to smile? Best high ever.”
Shepherd Calloway was Everly’s boss. Everly thought of him as an unemotional robot. He could make a person shake with fear with just with a look. He never showed emotion and spent every waking hour working. She had been there three years and held the record for longest lasting assistant. They had a routine and it worked. Until everything changed...
He needs a fake girlfriend and Everly more than steps in and rouse keeps going and going... until they are fake Fiancé’s and what is really fake... It was utterly delicious...
These two had so many layers and I loved watching them discover each other. This was a fantastic read and I loved the bonus epilogue which reminded us of their steam as well... 5+ Stars...
I was a lucky one and got an advance copy of this book and devoured it in a day I loved everything about it.
Everly Dalton was a sweetheart. She was such a bright and bubbly person but definitely had back bone to deal with her boss who people would consider him cold and heartless. But once we get to meet him that's not the case at all. I fell in love with Shepherd deep down he was sweet, full of love and of course he ends up having a soft spot for our girl Everly.
Watching their relationship grow from Assistant/Boss to their fake dating scheme was pure magic. The sexual tension, the secrets, amazingly hot chemistry made my heart happy and when they do finally hit the sheets it is fire! I absolutely loved them together.
I really enjoyed the secondary characters as well, Nora and Hazel were gold and I hope we get to see them venture into their happily ever after in the future.
This book tells the story of Shepherd and Everly . Wow I loved the chemistry between these too it wasn't there from the start but when it hit damn it was electrifying . Everly is so sweet and lovable and spreads joy around her. Shephard on the other hand was tough on the outside and it was good seeing all the layers come off and seeing the sweet side of him when he and Everly gave in to their attraction. There was a lot of lovable characters as well in this book Shepherd 's dad wow what a sweet nice man . And Hazel and Nora can't wait for their books and seeing more of all this family . Ethan and Grant and Annie and Miranda they were sweet as well. All and all I enjoyed this book so much I reread it 3 times.
I haven’t actually read any of Ms Kingsleys book before but I’m a huge fan of the Bootleg Springs series. I so enjoyed this book that I think I’ll be binge reading the rest of her novels. A beautiful couple and a beautifully told story.
