Not sure about the sound, it's pretty bass heavy
7 February 2019
The Good: They feel and look well made but only had them for a day so can't comment on how well they may last. Comfortable to wear. It's my first experience with noise cancelling and they certainly make a noticeable difference to low frequency background rumbles with just NC running. Thumbs up. And they paired with my Samsung phone out to 26m unobstructed range. That's pretty good if you want to be able to move around a bit.
Not so Good: I bought them because other people said they sounded really good. Well, to my ears they are really bass heavy, not thumping bass guitar headbanging type, just overall mid bass very pronounced. For me it's awful to the point of being unlistenable. Then when you switch NC on they change remarkably and the excessive bass tilt goes away. It's like two different pairs of headphones. Still wouldn't say they are great to listen to, I'd call them warm and muddy as opposed to clear and detailed, but it's better with NC on and I've used the limited 7 band graphic equalizer on the phone to tidy the sound as best I can. The controls - could someone PLEASE use a tactile indicator for the buttons so they are easier to feel. I'm sure I'll get used to them but a change of texture would surely make it easier. Finally, if the designer could respond here please... who thought it was a good idea to put the volume up button at the bottom, and the volume down button at the top!!! Zero marks for being intuitive. Surely up at the top and down at the bottom is the way to go.
Hope that helps.
