Joanna is a daughter of a disgraced baron who had lost his fortune, who in order to survive becomes a governess. Edmond is an Earl who inherits his father's title, business, responsibility for his brothers and sisters. This is a wonderful sweet slow burn romance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the development of Joanna's relationship as governess with the children, how she focuses on her job and children's welfare.. another highlight is her relationship with Edmund. Story is well paced and written. There are several twists and turns that will keep you guessing how story ends. There is an extended epilogue which wraps up HEA story. Highly recommended.
A lovely story where past and present tragedies bring a family together. A very enjoyable read from start to finish, and riveting throughout. There's always a sense of excitement when you first starting reading a regency novel. This book delivers. The story is intriguing and entertaining. The characters are endearing and well developed, and the plot keeps the reader's attention and interest. Two thumbs up for this must read.
