Not fond of Alice but loved having Graham’s story. Wasn’t happy with the heroine and her attitude/behaviour in the first half of this story. Have waited a long time to find out about our grumpy, quiet gardener Graham. Who he was and what happened in his past was interesting and also very sad. A great second half that gave us lots happening on many fronts. Chef and Magnolia’s HEA was a sweet surprise but so sad they had waited all those years. We have even more questions about Scarlett. Cannot wait for the final book in this series to answer them all. What happened to Cyrus and the other nasties. Were they arrested and charged? The reasons I never warmed up to Alice were; A stranger turns up at Alice’s work, seems to know nearly everything about her and her family, then offers her more money than seems reasonable, just to find out what type of shifter Scarlett is. One would think that being offered 50 million dollars for something that seems so trivial, would ring BIG alarm bells. This information really must be very important for some reason. The fact Alice was prepared to do this tainted my whole perception of her. Then her attitude towards Graham was so cold. She has sex with him on first meeting him, not even knowing his name but knows they are mates, then disses him. When Graham comes clean to everyone about who he is, Alice has the check to be offended. The ending with the money for information, exonerated Alice due to a technicality.
I have loved this series and I’m getting a bit sad as we draw to the end. I loved finding out Graham’s story and meeting Alice. My heart ached for Graham at Alices secondary response to him, and also as Alice has a secondary reason beside the wedding to be there, the secrets her and Graham are both keeping are hurting them both.
What ever you do when you get to,the end don’t stop reading, there is a little bonus you will want to read.
I received an ARC of ‘Tropical Lion’s Legacy’ and have freely chosen to read and review it. My review is honest and fair and is in no way incentivised.
