Really enjoyed this book with it's danger, mystery, romance and HEA, with interesting characters and historically correct setting. Ms St. Clair always writes great stories and this is no different as the story evolves around a young girl growing up with the horrific memories and nightmares of seeing her parents murdered. She leaves the home of her adoptive parents to be a governess to the brother and sister of a Duke. Will her nightmares stop or is she still entangled in a web of corruption that threatens all around her? Recommend that you read this book to find out.
The first story in what promises to be a fantastic series by Ellie St Clair. I have read most of her books published to date, and I am impatient to read the next in this series also. I fell in love with the Duke as Daisy was smitten: not by his demands and lack of thought of others, but by the man described in the chapters. This is a charming storyline filled with humour and life. I received an arc of this story and voluntarily review it here. It really is a joy to read.
Heartwarming Regency tale. Well-written storyline with necessary secrets, unexpected attraction and a delightful romance which kept me smiling all the way through the book. Daisy and Nathaniel are both strong, vulnerable characters who are meant to be together. I am really looking forward to more of this series in the future. I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
