This was the best entry in this spinoff series. The first part of the book deals with the attack on the Kesaht homeworld covered in the Armoured Corps series. Lots of combat and a favourite character gets a fitting ending. Sad but inevitable. The second half is a rescue/infiltration storyline. I've enjoyed the interactions of these characters, the humour, the deliberate misunderstanding of language between both human and alien members of the marine combat team. Even the conflict between the opposing human factions was great. This entry ended well and didn't leave threads hanging. I'll be joining up to read the next series.
