Paging Dr Christian Gallagher! Paging Dr Christian Gallagher! Get to my side STAT! You are giving me heart palpitations!
What a beautiful friends to lovers story is A Really Bad Idea.
I mean, the premise is not a new one, there are plenty of friends to lovers stories out there, however this one just had that something - and that something is Dr Christian Gallagher. Oh my, how swoonworthy is that man!
It wasn't hard to see where this story was going to go, however it was a lot of fun going on the journey with Christian and Meadow. I love their banter, I love their connection - one that only years of friendship can really forge - and I really adore their fear of ruining friendships. I was glad that the sexual buildup didn't overshadow everything else.
It is a case of will they or won't they - and believe me, you want them to!
There are wonderful secondary characters, especially family members.
It wasn't all smiles, and I may have shed a couple of tears as I was reading.
I don't know how, but this was my first Jeaninne Colette read (I have read her collaborations, just not her solo writes), however I will be rectifying this in the future.
A great 4.5 ⭐️ read. Christian and Meadow are best friends and have a friendship spanning 20 years. They’ve been there for each other through everything including Meadow’s messy divorce which she’s survived mostly because of Christian. She’s still bearing the scars of having her heart broken, but she still believes in love and wants a happy ever after. She also desperately wants a baby and he suggests that he could give her that baby. Christian is a doctor who is gorgeous and smart and everything a woman could want in a man, except he’s married to his career. His offer comes with strings attached including some dates upfront before the baby making starts. Deep down she wants to do this with him because he’s the best man she’s ever known, but she’s scared that what they have could change if they do. Somewhere along the way all these feelings bubble to the surface, feelings they’ve always had but never talked about. And maybe, just maybe doing this is not such A Really Bad Idea at all...
