I loved this story line, but I would have liked a resolution to the mystery of what was contained in the financial files that Julia obtained from her murdered friend; that part of the story wasn't resolved once the link between Erskine and Julia's family's deaths were identified. I also loved the background of Scotland. Julia wasn't too reckless and stubborn which was also good; she was less questioning internally than some of the other females have been despite their confident appearance. My only disappointment was that I haven't been able to obtain the previous novel (Quinn) as it is unable to be downloaded from amazon.com.au and I may have missed a bit of the pre-story.
Julia Harper is a CIA analyst and she is bent on revenge after her friend is murdered and she is pretty sure that Erskine Ross has something to do with that death. Meanwhile Lachlan McRae leader of his clan and a vampire is also bet on revenge he is after the vampire that massacred his clan years before and you guessed it that man is Erskine Ross. Will these two unlikely allies be able to defeat this powerful vampire and what about the love that is blossoming between them When someone or something sts their sights on Julia it will be up to Lachlan to keep her safe Will they defeat Erskine Ross and will Lachlan McRae end up as the new vampire lord of Scotland This is a fast paced book with plenty of twist and turns to keep you engaged till the very last page
I was given a copy of this book but this is true and honest review
