Good start to the series, human and Ketaurrans working togetger to achieve a common goal. Freedom and safety. With a battle for the throne and seperatist groups working to their own agenda, I enjoyed the how Laria's group and Jardun's group wirked together to save the Drezdarr (Ketaurrans King). I enjoyed the portrayal of Laria's group as strong, determined and confident yet had their own vulnerabilities. Jardun's crew was honorable, strong and clever. Together you could see the relationship building between Jardun and Laria. Sweet, no hidden agendas and slow relationship building made this a good read, although I felt that the ending was rushed and seemed cutoff. Hopefully the next book won't end the same way.
This is an amazing action packed sci-fi romance, sorry guys no spoilers today and to be honest I really wouldn’t know where to start because there is so much going on in this story I was hooked. I really liked these two characters especially Laria she is a strong willed stubborn woman and Jardun is her perfect mate and he see’s Laria as a great warrior. This is a fantastic story and I can’t wait to read more from this author and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read. Laria is given a task to retrieve a package. She has no idea that she has been sent to retrieve Jardun, an elite warrior. He needs to find a cure for the poison that is killing his leader - and he needs help from Laria to accomplish this. Will they be able to work together well and long enough to accomplish this? And what of their attraction to each other? Love this story!
