It’s simple. I loved Bad Boy Blues. The emotions I felt reading this book broke me in so many pieces that I had to pause at times just to regroup; and then it gently put me back together.
Cleopatra Paige with her Combat Boots, Blue Hair and matching Navy Lipstick, is no damsel in distress. Even years of bullying from her high school nemesis Zach Prince & his minions have not broken her spirit. The death of her parents a year earlier; just might.
Abandoning her dreams to buy back her family home, sees Cleo working as a maid for the Prince Family. But what happens when you come face to face with your school enemy that has returned after a 3-year absence and you’re now part of the household staff?
Going into this story you’re adamant that Zach Prince has no redeeming qualities. Well how could he after the abuse that Cleo endured?
‘That’s the thing about bullying, isn’t it? You never forget. Never. You might pretend that everything’s okay now. That years might have dulled their effect.’
But here’s the thing, even a bully has a backstory. There is no excusing bullying in any form….but I bled for Zach as well.
Once they admit that their paths should have been different and begin embracing their love over hate, it was bittersweet and oh so passionate....
