Downgraded from 3 to 2. NEGATIVES: OLD VERSION OF BLUETOOTH DOES NOT PAIR WITH MORE THAN ONE DEVICE AT A TIME. TWIN WIRELESS EAR BUDS ARE OUT. Display is difficult to impossible to see in sunny environment. Display text is so small as to be virtually useless without high magnification eyeglasses and text does not display the name of the recording being played. These problems really reduce the desirability of this product. Doesn't need a fancy icon of a turntable which takes up about 2/3 of the visible space on the screen while playing mp3 recordings. Very bad. In spite of messing with every permutation and combinations of control arrows, there is no apparent way to delete files once listened to and company does not provide an online manual. Only way is to plug it into a computer. Very, very annoying. POSITIVES: Very good sound quality. Decent battery life. Very durable. Decent price. I had a prior version of this. Unfortunately it got thrown into the washer and that was it. I had it for several years, no problems. It was much better than the current iteration because the last one didn't try to get fancy with the graphics. A few little things could bring this up to snuff, and it wouldn't have taken the designer much effort to correct these things. I would like to give it a higher rating, but because it is in so many ways an annoying little thing, I feel compelled to express my annoyance with a low rating. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I'm glad to see so many people hand out 5 star reviews like it's Halloween. Likely has something to do with the promised free gifts (there's a little coupon inside the box). As for me, I have started a return. Maybe if you do "playlists" and "random play" it's fine, but if you listen to recordings where the track ordering is important, this player will disappoint. Of course all my files are tagged properly. That's deal breaking, and in my opinion flat out non-functional, so it's on its way back to Amazon.
Frankly, all I wanted was a Bluetooth mp3 player. So I got a cell phone for $20 and it runs real media player apps like MediaMonkey and Plex, or whatever you find non-insulting. That's correct, you set it up at home with WiFi and you don't need a sim card. Saves money and sanity!
I cannot figure out for the life of me how to email these people and ask for help. I even wrote a review detailing this issue on my phone, but it's not there now? I don't know, and this website is frustrating me.
It plugs into the car perfectly and plays music, which is all I want. But I have to unplug the USB and plug it back in every time to turn it on. Mondo wear and tear. If the touch buttons worked, maybe I could turn it on from the actual unit when I turn the car on.
The touch screen works for the initial plug-in, where it asks you whether you want to transfer files, or just play music. Unless the screen is timing out and I just THINK it's working lol
I just received this and I am excited as I was like many others using their iPhone for my music but ITunes is not the best it can be so I decided to give a MP3 player a try. I have not attempted the Bluetooth feature yet but I will and send a follow up review about the set up of that. I do have one thing that I didn’t care for and that is how the micro SD card goes into the slot on the player. The instructions don’t tell you which way to face it and it doesn’t come out easy. More to come...update!! When you have SYNC in your car it doesn’t work for the Bluetooth feature. When you plug in the usb so you can use the controls in your steering wheel it plays but you can’t select what songs you want. If you use the six plug the sound quality isn’t loud
This product arrived this past Wednesday--two days ago. Upon opening it, I used the USB to charge the battery. After about five hours of off and on effort, I still do not know if the battery is fully charged. All other devices of this kind I have used, indicate a fully charged battery status. This item does not appear to arrive at a fully charged state. If I can't get any help, I'm sending it back. UP DATE: After a fair amount of frustration about charging; I just left it plugged in, and to my surprise it now indicates it is fully charged. I hope I am correct in my assessment.
Good to use with wired headphones, but the device doesn't remember Bluetooth connections, you have to manually turn on Bluetooth , search for device, and connect each time you turn the device on . Some times takes about 5 minutes to get connected to the headphones, I tried 3 different headphones models with the same results-so I will used it as a old wired MP3 player-I put back the music SD card back on my phone. Two stars for the wired earphone
This mp3 player does not work consistently. When it’s working it seems to produce good sound and the screen is large, clear and pretty easy to read. However, it often loses its memory (dementia?). It often does so multiple times in a day. When it loses its memory it loses track of where it was in whatever was playing and returns to the beginning, and the date & time revert to defaults.
The lock switch works well most of the time but sometimes it doesn’t.
The “User Manual” is very poor – it only describes what most buttons and switches do, but does not describe how to use the device. I wasted a great deal of time trying to figure out how to use it, only to finally figure out that it didn’t work the same all the time because it was often losing its memory.
Not user friendly at all. Plus the description claims MP3/MP4, but as far as I can tell, it is simply an MP3 (and barely that). I had high hopes for this but I have yet to figure out how to download new music to it. (and no, this is not my first MP3 player) I don't recommend this product.
