Lani is one of my one click author, and unfortunately for me, I couldn’t put it down once I started, so here I am at 4am in morning, thanking this amazing author for sharing this fun loving, steamy, yet powerful story with us. I am in awe of Lani’s courage and bravery to put words to paper about controversial topics that affect so many of us islanders, and the delivery, WOW!! You have a way with words, that has me laughing so hard, I have to stop, cause of the coughing fit that follows, and I couldn’t stop grinning at every aspect of island life that I can fully relate to. Thank you Lani for your fierce awesomeness and being a champion for us Island Girls. Can wait to read more from you
I’ve been waiting for years to find out what happens next in Scarlet’s story. It’s a bittersweet moment when you finish reading something you don’t want to end, but need to know how it ends!
I laughed, cried, opened my mouth in shock, rolled my eyes then laughed some more. I love how the writing just pulls you in, you feel like you know the characters and cheer for every success, especially every witty comeback! I stayed up all night reading until I finished. I had so much FUN reading this series.
Finished reading Scarlet Redemption. So many emotions and laugh out loud moments...It was awesome great To read Jackson’s perspective. So happy that we get to experience Scarlet and Jackson’s happily ever after BUT I’m left wanting to know what happens to them now.
Sad that the book ended... hoping additional books are written about other characters in the book. Wishful thinking???
So worth the wait! Thank you Lani for another epic adventure with Scarlet and Jackson. It’s a raw view of Fa’aSamoa in its entirety! The good, the bad and the shameful all in one! So honest, brutal but must be said and brought to light! You are a bold woman with an extraordinarily imagination. Thank You!
I really went through all the emotions reading this book. I cackled, I cried, I felt angry and felt joy. As a Samoan woman, it's a beautiful thing to be able to see yourself represented in text, whether fiction or nonfiction. It's not all pretty but it's relatable and it's redeeming. Thank you Lani for telling this story. I'm going to go eat all the desserts now.
Loved loved loved the final installment of the Scarlet Series. I couldn’t put the book down until I finished. A romantic story of love, resilience, forgiveness and self discovery. I hope they turn this into a movie! Thank you Lani for bringing a character to life that is so relatable for us Pacific Islanders.
