I love this book and it has helped me understand people better which in turn has improved the way I communicate with others. As a manager, being able to understand, communicate and influence is essential and this book has given me the tools to do that successfully. A must read!
A particularly useful book that introduces snapshots of peoples motivators at a daily work level. The information is at a just below the surface level, but I found them very useful in determining my best, most productive responses. This is information that leads to much deeper thought, and some very good outcomes for me.
Ms Charvet's book presents a nice balance of theory and practice in the art of communication. By the end of the book, you will have gained some insight and understanding into some of the more subtle but important ways that we communicate for understanding and influence. Overall the book will succeed in you examining the way you communicate and the ways you can improve for effect.
I find these ideas helpful in identifying clients needs and communicating in a way that’s in tune with their way of thinking. The concepts take time to understand and practice. I like that there are lots of examples. Straight away I put one idea into practice with a client, It felt like we were on the same page.
This book is super insightful. With so many codes and patterns included I have learnt a great deal about people and how to influence. I intend reading it 4 or 5 times so I get the absolute most out of it and apply it to everyday life. Thank you for sharing such wonderful material.
