Old fashioned policing
13 June 2019
Catching a bus to commit crime, goodness gracious. The setting is faithfully written including the treatment and role of women and men in that era.
Set in a seedy caravan park there is a murder of a vicious petty criminal, the manager. The story is complicated by the number of possible suspects who occupy the lower rungs of society.
Roy writes a good if cluttered story. It is entertaining but hard work in places as the red herrings aren't subtle. It takes a while for the glaring error to become obvious to the police. Not exacting to figure it out but still a good read
