This was a pretty good read. A little confusing because it goes back and forward with her past but doesn’t elaborate and that is what I was more intrigued about. I think it needed to have more of a building between Grant and Val. It was pretty much she stayed at a house with Grant one day, and was in love. She shouldn’t trust him because she knew what that led to, yet... she trusts him. Could have been better, it was just missing ..... stuff. 🤷🏼♀️ I did like the book though. It was different.
This is a fantastic story and I enjoyed it immensely I’ve read all of the other stories in the Lick of Fire series and this one is a standalone and a really great read. Vale was a slave to queen Titania and Val had died but the queen brought her back from the dead so Val could be bound to the queen as her slave. A man came in and put his hands on the shield that protected the queen, and Val had run she was hoping that this beast of a man would let her die again but the man / dragon wanted to use Val to get revenge on the queen because she killed his brother and kidnapped his sister. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but there is so much more to this story I loved it, this is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read. Action galore in this tale of dragons and magic. Grant wants revenge against the Angel of Death who took his sister, and thinks to use Val to get it. Val just wants out of Titania’s control, but gets more than she bargained for. Great storyline and strong characters make this a book to remember.
