A great tale featuring a Mr Bennet forced out of his complacency after learning that Lydia was on the brink of bringing ruin upon the Bennet family. Mr Bingley and Darcy have returned to Netherfield and Mr Bennet (Henry: I'm not sure why authors feels the need to go against popular trend to name their characters differently to what most authors do. I like Thomas for Mr Bennet) quickly observes that the wealthy gentleman from Derbyshire has feelings for his Lizzy. As a consequence of this, and knowing that Darcy also has had dealings with Wickham in the past, he asks Darcy to accompany him (and an insistent Lizzy) on a mad flight to Brighton.
You will not be disappointed if you accompany them. Jann Rowland has given us another top notch book. The only problem is that it wasn't long enough. 5 stars.
