This is definitely my favourite of the series so far! Its raw, dirty, sexy and full of Wrath.
Samuel is a dark character , he is so broken, so desperate, he just wants to be loved and accepted by his family. But the one person he needed the most, his father, is the same person that has pushed him away his whole life. His anger and bitterness is a direct result of how he has been treated throughout his childhood, and it's really heartbreaking.
This is more erotic than the first two books and takes on a slightly different tone. Told solely through Samuel's POV we are treated with some more delicious details on the secrets within the elite. I really enjoyed hearing the same scenes we have read about in the previous two books but through a different set of eyes.
Patience is a good fit for Samuel, she is strong-minded and not afraid to stand up to him. She calms the storm inside him. Claire C. Riley is a new-to-me author and I will definitely be checking out her other books she had me hooked.
This is the third book in the Elite Seven Series and was a fantastic read. Great writing with so much angst and anticipation my head was spinning, I couldn't keep up with pace, it was so intense.
I had mixed feelings for Samuel Gunner aka Wrath, one minute I felt sorry for him, then he turned into a complete A$$$hole, then he turned a corner and I loved him, and last but not least I wanted to punch his lights out - yep so many feeling this book evoked in me. The story delivered right from the start, Wrath is an intense, angry, domineering character with a huge temper and a big chip on his shoulder. He has spent his life being shunned by his father and grandparents, not given any affection or love as a young child into adulthood he has grown bitter about life; the only person he loves and protects is his sister.
This book is quite dark and has some eye opening events that take place but I loved it and couldn't soak it all up fast enough. Wrath seemed to take on the whole world on his own in this book, fighting the fight and never seeming to get any further along. The Elite once again trying to destroy his life and causing devastation along every step he took, and that ending - good lord please bring me Envy as soon as possible. Brilliant fast paced story that you don't want to miss !!!
Like LUST and PRIDE before it, WRATH pulled me in from the very beginning. Intense, dark and riveting, Samuel Gunner's story had me gasping for air and continuously sitting on the edge of my seat. It is one crazy emotional rollercoaster ride, complete with suspense, mystery and some very very sensual scenes that blew my mind. Sam Gunner holds nothing back.
Sam will do anything to free himself and his sister Sabella from the clutches of his father. Wrath deals with a lot of Samuel's back story, although important, I did wonder if every detail was really necessary. Once the Elite storyline was introduced and Patience became a major plot line, this story really picked up on its pace.
Samuel was intense, quick tempered, strong and protective. He has reasons for being as he is, but they don't take away from the huge heart that he has. Patience, the woman who has Samuel's heart, is his perfect foil. She's strong and feisty. Together they re just amazing. The ending was simply ... well ... how on earth can it end like that?
WRATH is a wonderful addition to The Elite Series. I would definitely recommend it. I can't wait to see what ENVY has in store for this series, it certainly will be an interesting instalment.
Wow this is the 3rd book in the Elite Seven series and just when I was thinking the storyline was so similar to the first 2, BOOM, I didn’t see that coming. I was so surprised with what I was reading, I didn’t think the author would go there, but hell yes she did, she didn’t hold back and it added sooooo much more to the story. It’s made it deliciously salacious. I love it when an author ‘goes there’.
I’m Samuel “The Machine” mother******* Gunner. Wretched brother to a twin sister, shameful son of a dead mother, an undefeated champion in the ring, and a master of sin in the bedroom.
This is Samual Gunner’s aka Wrath’s story and it evokes so many emotions. It’s raw, heart felt and boy is it intense. To say this series was fantastic at the beginning of book 1 and 2 it just keeps on getting better and better. Wrath surprisingly ends on a cliffhanger and I just can’t wait for bk 4 Envy. It’s going to be a doozy and I need answers........NOW.....
The twists and turns keep coming in this series! I’m loving these books, you don’t know which way the story will go. I really felt for Samuel while reading Wrath, he’s had to deal with a lot! I can’t wait for the next book!
