Wow, Tori really can’t help but end up in the middle of things. This time however, it might be curtains for our favourite smart mouthed human bartender.
I’m enjoying watching Tori work through her issues of inadequacy, and potential abandonment, while coping with the enforced time out from her BFFs due to guild issues. However, after accidentally, but not really, agreeing to help two witches it all goes to hell-in-a-hand-basket land after Tori and the boys interrupt a rather nasty binding ritual. Kai, Aaron and Ezra are back, plus Sin, Twiggy and Zak. And we also learn a secret that Tori’s brother, Justin, has been keeping.
Well paced, great plot, with a few surprises snuck in. Bummed I now have to wait 2 months for the fourth book to be published 😔. Wish there was a paperback omnibus of the four books, cause I’d buy that puppy in a heartbeat 💗
Wow, wow, wow. A lot of emotional exploration and depth with the characters in this one (especially our heroine, Tori!). The action was really from the get go with this one and didn't let up until the end (and whoa, what an ending - I was fairly stressed out for the characters during the last third of this book!).
I'm looking forward to reading on in the series (just got to order book 4 now!) and also starting the new companion series as well, which fortunately for me released in only a handful of days!
I love this story, and this series. Tori is so much fun to read about, she tries to be kickass but she's up against magic do she uses her ingenuity to even the scales. The guild were kickass and loyal. I had so much fun reading this story, it was fantastic and enthralling.
