It’s got me thinking about how I can strengthen my first novel, currently out with beta readers, and strengthen my second novel, which I've just started outlining. Good use of examples. I think this is one of those books where a second read will definitely help me get the ideas cemented in my head.
I have been collecting books by this author for several years, starting with The Art of War for Writers. All of them have helped me a lot in my own writing journey, and this one is no different. This is the only title I know of that addresses the ending of a novel.
This is a good read and I learnt about different types of endings. It helps if you have a wide knowledge of books or movies as you will get more out of the examples, although JSB does include the text for you to analyse.
