Vicious is a highly enigmatic, mysterious, dark, smouldering legendary business man amongst the criminal element, but I’m sure that is not all that he is. And he has his eye on a beautiful young courier who seems to have landed in big trouble. Kitty is a courier, one that needs to hide easily in the background of a big city to the criminal but she is losing interest in it and has been thinking of going legit, go back to college...but that’s all about to change, as her life is on serious danger of coming to and end. I so love the characters and the fact that Kitty is a strong, sassy and loyal and isn’t afraid of letting Vicious know that.
One of those books that draws you in with the 'oh so sexy and cool' prologue then ends up being a dissapointment in so many ways. For starters, when a female writer tries to write in a male perspective, they either get it wrong or get it right. This was wrong. Miserably so. This guy is a gangster? Please, this guy is a packet of fairy floss. The heroine is a hardened criminal? Please, a mother with a child is more alert to her surroundings than this idiot is. This book is not dark and sexy, its a failed attempt at that genre. Even the attempt at sex parts fell short and were disappointing. Won't be bothering with this series again, I'll even give the writer the flick, so much better out there.
VICIOUS LOOKS is a fast paced, highly addictive story! There is a lot of mystery surrounding why Kitty is kidnapped by Vicious, and although we get a few revelations, not everything has been revealed in this instalment. I liked the palpable chemistry between Vicious and Kitty, and his spankings even had me squirming in my seat! The ending definitely left me hanging and wanting more answers!
