Good god this is some kind of thing
16 April 2019
Where to start? The four books worth of desperate, scrambling excuses to have sex with a teenage girl? The open, blatant anti asian racism that hovers at the core of the story? The absurdly fascist bent of not only the primary character, but also every arc of the novels themselves? Every woman character existing to be either a shrill harpy or eye candy?
Putting aside all of that, the series is a long, badly paced cliche, end to end, written with the gleeful self confidence of a high schooler. Plot threads are collected and discarded in the span of a chapter. The final book takes a plot point that has been building since the start of the series and bins it in half a chapter. It's boring, lazy and uninspired.
The only enjoyment I derived from this series was showing it to friends, to force them to suffer with me. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.
