Alice was my favourite character in Nothing But Trouble - I loved her, she gave out attitude where it was deserved, especially with Raegan. After Raegan almost runs her over, they slowly become friends. So much chemistry between these 2, I was dying to get to the part in the story where it developed into more.
Raegan Reynolds is known by basically everyone ( except Alice ) and plays with the extremely popular water polo team. He was so drawn to Alice, and so attracted to her yet determined to stay friends. He was pretty frustrating at times!
I really enjoyed reading the first book in the Malibu University Series. It did wrap up very quickly in the end though, I would have loved a little more on Alice and Raegan. He really needed to grovel, A LOT. Hopefully there will be plenty more to see of these 2 in the other books in the series.
This was my first time reading anything by P. Dangelico, and I loved Nothing But Trouble so much, and can't wait to read more of the series when it comes out!! Alice and Reagan meet when he "runs" her over with his jeep. With his background, and pedigree, he feels as though he needs to take care of Alice and to make sure she's not going to sue him. Alice doesn't want anything to do with him, as she's trying to make sure she is going to pass her classes. Reagan can't stay away. He then realises that he actually likes Alice, and can't stay away. He does everything he can to be near her. Alice knows he's trouble, with a capital T, and eventually she can't stay away from him. One thing leads to another, and they can't help the attraction to one another. His family is NOT like hers. Can they mix, and be together? Can they both get through college, and water polo, and get through without having to sell her expensive camera equipment.
My fave quotes: 1. I loved the quote from Steve Jobs at the beginning!!! 2. Just because my vagina is blinded by his good looks doesn't mean my head stops working. - LOL!!! I laughed so hard! 3. Sizzle in my tummy, sizzle between my legs. This is a really an inconvenient sizzle. - Alice knows the effect Rea is having on her. 4. Me: be with me. - SWOON MOMENT! 5. "F*** more, worry less." - Aunt Peg cracks me up!
I LOVED this book! I’ve never read anything from this author before, and I’m not entirely sure why I grabbed this book but I’m SO glad I did! The passion the characters have come through, as do their feelings. I love the one-liners as well as the deep thoughts. The supporting cast are awesome and I can’t wait for their books! Dallas and Brock in particular. I’d love to see Owen’s as well. One thing I will say is at times it seems like this isn’t the first book in the series and prior knowledge of the characters has been imparted somewhere else. But it’s a very small complaint in what is an incredible book! Grab a copy now!
Really enjoyed this book, the first in a new series but not my first read from this author, it was a bit different to her previous books that I’ve read but I liked it, it felt a bit lighter. Loved the characters, well developed and the chemistry felt authentic. Overall, an enjoyable read
