So a few months ago I like many others was searching for my next book to read and I came across this book. Out of My League(Hope Valley Book 1) by Jessica Prince. First book by this author. I just have to say it's an amazing emotional ride and I loved every second of it.
Out of My League by Jessica Prince is the first book in her Hope Valley series. This is Lincoln and Eden's story. Lincoln is the owner of a security and Private investigation company in town and Eden just moved to Hope Valley and has finally found her forever home in this peaceful town. But things don't stay peaceful for long...
Lincoln and Eden are neighbors but while she has noticed his fineness since she first laid eyes on him, she has passed under his radar. With a bevy of gorgeous, stick-thin females passing through his revolving bedroom door he never takes the time to notice the quiet, curvy beauty in the baggy clothes that lives a few houses down from him. That is, until his rescue dog escapes and makes Eden his new best friend. What starts as friends, turns into more while the whole town is in a tizzy over a recent string of burglaries that has taken place in this previously almost crime-free town. When someone is murdered the police and Lincolns team are looking at anyone and any thing even the new resident in town, Eden.
Emotional, with an undercurrent of danger and angst, steamy, funny, and with a wonderful secondary cast I wan't wait to read more about in future books, this book was AWESOME. My first by Jessica Prince but absolutely NOT my last. Enjoy!
This is the first book I have read from this author and I have to wonder what rock I have been living under. I saw this on my GoodReads feed before it was released and added it to the pile. When the dreaded what to read next hit I saw this one had been released on Kindle Unlimited, checked out the reviews and started reading and got so deeply sucked in I couldn't put it down.
The writing style reminds me of a less wordy Kristen Ashley and I loved it. Eden was so kick arse, I immediately loved her and was so invested in her I actually didn't like Lincoln for a while for not immediately seeing how amazing she was. But then I suppose if he had it would have been a pretty boring book.
Lincoln had me warming up to him pretty quickly. He had the whole, possessive, over protective alpha thing nailed. And even when I wanted someone to slap him upside his head I still wanted him to win over Eden and give her the forever she deserved.
And now that I have discovered the writing of Jessica Prince I am off to stalk her books to answer today's dreaded what to read next.
Jessica Prince has always been a favourite of mine and an instant one click for me, but this was a whole new level! Loved the super hot alpha male badassery that this series promises! Eden is a sweet strong woman who had a difficult upbringing, she is trying to make a new life for herself. Lincoln is an ex marine who owns a private investigations and security company. Some twists and turns, a growly bossy alpha male and a whole bucketload of interesting side characters made this a book I didn’t want to put down! I can’t wait for more of this series!
Absolutely loved this one - someone recommended this book as it had a KA feel to it so intrigued me enough to see for myself. So glad I did as I loved it & can't wait to read it everyone's story. We out giving to much away Lincoln didn't pay much attention to Eden when she first came to Hope Valley until he's ask to look closely as some stuff had been going on then Lincoln's eyes are wide open to what exactly he has been missing
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and have already started reading other books from the same author. I love their writing style and how there is always a deeper story along with a great love story. You fall in love with the characters and find them relate-able. I definitely had a few laugh out loud moments with the sass of the main character. Definitely recommend this book - and this author from the others I've read!
At first I wasn't too sure about this but I did end up really enjoying it. There is no over the top relationship drama. Hero is a bossy and protective alpha and heroine is sweet. Definitely interested in reading more from this author.
